Final screening cut done!

Ohh yeah!

Finally ger our project done, and handed in! We also finished most of the produciton notes, guess TV 1 is pretty much done from now.

I wish i could keep participating this kind of short film production, or helping out others' works. Filming are soo fun :)

Had a great experience with my group member, well done guys!

Will be helping to produce a film in the holidays, hope we can really make it in the end! :D

Looking forward to the screening, can't wait to watch other's short films!

comments and suggesstions for the final cut

Things need to improved:

-the confusion made at the stair scene
-the fluent of background sound
-Take off the open transition of living room scene
-titling

It's mostly modified now, hope it would make sense and looks good on the screennn

editing session

We have done most of the editing, guess only the sound part we should revise and re-adjust it.

Couldn't think of any particular music to put in the film because we don't have a specific atmosphere to construct. It's not comedy not tragedy, but more like a family lie.

Was thinking to put in some music to build up the tense between two sisters, but then it might makes it too serious and evilized the rival between two sisters.

hmmm...music....have to think about it more..

Omg! continuity problem again

Oh, we are soo careless...
The continuity problems happened again...

Annie (the wheelchair girl) didnt wear the jumper mom put on her in the previous scene!!

There are quite a part of the footage we might have to avoid using them now..
Sigh, i should have take care of it since im the production designer, but i was out to take away lunch...Hope we still have enough footages to use...

Now we are having problems to adjust the color of exterior scenes..
We have two different exterior shots, shooting from different position. But The sunchine was too strong in one, which made a distinct contrast on the actresses' face.

It's actually quite hard for us to change the color because we would be influenced by the sunshine and the noticeable shadowing on actresses' face..

Rough cut screening in the tute

Made some chages and done the rough cut with Wendy just an hour before the tutorial today. :P

Editing was funn, although it do takes quite a while to adjust some minor differences in each scene, figure out the order of different shots, and to pick up the most suitable shots. But im enjoy it.


I personally think editing process would get most effecient with only one or the most two more people, because editing is quite a subjective and personal work.

Got some feedbacks of our rough cut from the tutorial.

-the pace of the film is too fast, should reduce the speed of the film.
-sound track needed
-some more footage of Annie's close up
-wider shot for the living room scene
