TV2 screening

This semester have been a fruitful semester for me, learnt a lot from every course I took. Especially TV2, I've been working on this documentary since the beginning until the very end, which has enabled me to learn more than I expected.

Now everytime when I watched shows on TV or movies, I'm much more 'sensitive' on the cutting between different shots and scenes. I found out that steady shots and cut aways are really important somehow (they are the two we lack of) because they stabilize the whole story and make the story's tempo nice and flow, and sometimes gives the story a bit of space to imagine and also a bit of rest for the audiences to think when they watch it.

I found that our doco have too many Zoom-in and panning, and lack of cutaways, so which makes the story a bit too intense, there's no break for the audience to take a breath and think, or stop for a bit before go on to the next story.

But overall, I think we've done a good job, at least we've tried our best to do it.

I have to say that today's screening was great! Everyone's works are excellent, really.

I enjoyed this semester very much, thank you David, for teaching us and being a hard-working teaching staff. You are always patient, spend times to clarify our inquiries, and always giving us warm support and smile (for both TV2 n ICP). Thanks for teaching me these two years, from Writing media text, to ICP and Documentary.

And thank you for lending me your office last time to take photos for one of WMT's assignment, I really appreciated that, although you might forgot already. :)

Have a nice holidays, and hope to see you around. at the graduation maybe? :)
