Event Evaluation

Our event is successful overall by evaluated from several aspects; number of event attendees, achievement in sponsorship, website hits and the feedbacks from peers.

Firstly, we have compared the number of attendees in our event with On Track@ Peter Mac’s previous events, and we found that the number of attendees in our event is twice more than the previous events they hold, although that’s still a big gap from our initial target numbers.

Secondly, our achievement in getting sponsorships is another way we use to evaluate our project. Although we couldn’t get sponsors to fund our project, we have successfully approached suitable sponsors to donate door prizes and raffle prizes, which are considered one of the essentials that made our event run well.

Besides, we have also put the website hits of our myspace and the number of members joined our facebook group into accounts, but unfortunately they didn’t work well in terms of interests our target group and assists us estimate the possible attendees. We got Myspace webpage and facebook group page settled, but we couldn’t find other channels to advertise/promote the website link except through On Track@ Peter Mac’s and publish them on the posters and invites.

However, apparently the social workers at on Track@ Peter Mac are very happy that we set up the facebook group account for them, because it will be a good start for them to develop their networks online and which also provide them another platform to keep the target group updated timely, as well as a great time saving for them.

The quality feedbacks from peers is also one of the many ways we used to evaluate our project, especially the feedbacks from those that attended our event. They have given us their honest feedback in terms of the schedule of the event and their overall personal feeling of the event. Most importantly, they provide us their observation/inspection of attendees’ reaction and response on the night, which have gave us a clear idea of the overall responses from the attendees.
