Although as i said before i think DJ is not really important for our event, we still get a paid DJ in the end. In deed, it is important to have someone in charge with the music and play the music throughout the night, but our event is a social networking night, and the whole event will be divided into a few parts, the comedy show, the time that bringing some games/activities for people as ice-breaking and to know each other more, as well as the luck draw/raffling.
Therefore, the music for me is more important in creating a relaxing atmosphere and which i think students with good taste of the music will do. I was worry about the number of people attending might be a problem for us to pay for the DJ, but today we confirmed that the DJ only charge us $215, which is $75 cheaper than previous quote because the venue have got some of the equipments he wants!! This is really a good news for us, so in the end we confirmed the regular DJ at the bar, and get rid of our last worry! :D Finally! PHEWWW! Two more days to go!
Me and kim went to check out the elephant bar in the afternoon and ordered the finger foods on the night. Thanks god we went again to check out the PA systems etc. The assistant manager told us, we should always let them know asap if we need anything.
Like the microphones for the MC and comedian, we should notify them know earlier because usually the band or performers come to perform at the venue, they prepare their own microphone, so at the venue they don't normally provide it, only if the customers ask for it.
Today's meeting finally finalised everything, and we reviewed again what we will need to do tmr, as well as confirmed the job on the even that night.
